Toastmasters have a new World Champion of Public Speaking

On Saturday 16 August LaShunda Rundles become the 2008 World Champion of Public Speaking.  LaShunda is from Town North Trendsetters Toastmasters Club, Addison, Texas, (Region 3).

K. Loghandran from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (District 51) came second.  Read more about his lead up to the Championship on the Speakers Dream Toastmasters Club website.  In third place was Professor Katherine Morrison of Boston West Toastmasters (Region 7).  Read more about her on the Curry College website.

Thank you to Andrew Dlugan for posting the results so quickly on his blog.  We'll hear a personal account of the Championship and the winning speeches from members of London Division B Toastmasters and others from UK & Ireland, (District 71) when they return from Calgary, Alberta.
