In July’s Club Officer Training we split the attendees up by their new club role. This gave an opportunity for people to share good practices and network with other folks in the same role. The participant’s feedback was very positive on this with the biggest suggestion being that people would have liked longer doing this part of the programme.
As a result, Dave Sellman, my enterprising Assistant Division Governor for Training and Education, has organised an evening meeting for club VPEs.
The session will be run by two of the most experienced VPE Toastmasters around. Helping run the session will be Dick Dixon, last year’s Division B Governor, and Samantha Babister, current Division H Governor and serial VPE. They will be imparting everything you need to know to be a great VPE.
This event is great for any current VPEs. However, if you are thinking of being VPE next year please think about coming along too. Also any VPEs from outside Division B are welcome too.
The event will take place on Tuesday 30th September at Excalibur Advanced Speakers’ Cheshire Cheese venue near Temple. The event will start from 6.30 with informal networking, followed by a 7pm core session of one hour or a little longer, leaving plenty of time for more networking afterwards.
So far we have about 10 VPEs coming. There are still a few places left so if you would like to reserve a seat, please email dave.sellman@btinternet.com
