Got a contest speech or another speech you would like to practice in a different venue? Distinguished Toastmaster Teresa Dukes (our current UK & Ireland Lt Governor Training & Education) will be running an afternoon workshop to give you this opportunity. Come along give your speech, listen to others and get feedback and insights into the craft of speech writing and performance. You will be giving your speech by a table in the Whitechapel Gallery space by the Guernica tapestry so you may find members of the public stopping to listen.
This is a fabulous opportunity to speak in a beautiful and unusual space. The gallery is currently hosting The Nature of the Beast Exibition which revolves around Picasso's famous picture Guernica. The picture has been used as a backdrop for political debate and as a source of inspiration for turning negatives into positives.
NB Anything that the group decides to record will be given to the Gallery and put in The Book of History for the Tapestry so it will be available for future generations to see and hear!
Please email as soon as possible if you are interested in attending this Division B event.(click here to email). A chance of a lifetime...
