The one advantage of being at home this morning with a dreadful cold is that I listened to BBC Radio 4's Avoiding The Question with Jon Sopel. In the 15 minute show Jon looks at the way politicians avoid answering questions and the pluses and minuses. He give us a heart warming picture from Tim Allen of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown practicing for major TV and radio interviews together.
From a Toastmasters table topics/impromptu speaking point of view there is a good summary of how to attack a question and the brilliant handling of a question by David Owen when he had fallen asleep during a TV discussion. And Professor Peter Bull confirms that so far he has found 35 ways of not answering questions (he's still counting).
You can listen again on BBC iplayer - not sure for how long - click here to listen.
