Guess who walked through the door unexpected and unannounced at my home club, London Athenians, on Tuesday night, 1 May? None other than Jock Elliott, the current Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking - here on a visit from Australia!
Naturally, President Marc Gomer had the presence of mind to ask Jock to deliver his winning speech at the end of our meeting. Yep, we felt so lucky to be there and to socialise with Jock afterwards.

The winner of the UK & Ireland International Speech Contest will be competing in Florida. There is still time to book to go to Wexford, Ireland for the WOW conference which includes the UK & Ireland finals of the Evaluation Contest and the International Speech Contest.
