From Division B Governor Andy O'Sullivan
Saturday morning saw members arrive to chose from a selection of four workshops. Each workshop showed us how to engaged and hone our skills on leadership, mentoring, no-verbal communication and memory. The laughter and clapping from each group filled the hall in which all the workshops were held and the networking continued over a delicious hot lunch.

Have you ever wondered what makes a good speech or table topic? What you could practically do to improve your speeches? If so, you would have had plenty of people to emulate at the Division B Humorous Speech contest where the winners from the seven Area finals battled it out.
We heard speeches on a variety of subjects like how to why piggy’s need firewalls, why Henry VIII preferred Hell to Heaven, the seven top tips for being a total failure and some of the tribulations of learning French.
Each of the speeches were full of ideas, structure, vocal variety and body language that those present could emulate in their next club speech.
After the break came the Division B Table Topics contest. With the Table Topic on "The Big Society", the bankers seemed to be under the cosh again as the seven Area finalists gave us their interpretation of the question, with some hilarious answers.

With over 200 people attending this was also the place to practice your networking skills, book your GE’s and get some invitations to other clubs.
The winners of the 2010 Division B Humorous Speech and Table Topics contests are –
Adolfo Tunon (Humorous Speech).
