We were very proud when Greg Ros was awarded the accolade of District 71 (UK & Ireland) Area Governor of the Year for his work as Area 31 Governor 2011-12.
An Area Governor needs to be methodical and organized due to all they have to accomplish throughout their year. They must be true to the goals they’ve set and motivate and encourage those around them to help these goals come to fruition. Greg set his sights on reaching President’s Distinguished Area and did so in style. Through his dedication, teamwork, and encouragement throughout 2011-12 he managed to motivate his team to surpass their goals.
He gave above and beyond what was required and could always be counted on to lead the Area, Division and District to success. Two new clubs: State Street London Speakers and Russian English Speakers chartered in his area and there were also some on its way to chartering. Greg also was a key player involved in the realignment of Division B into three new Divisions within Greater London. Without his strategic overview and dedication to detail the outcome would have looked very different.
