Area 29 had an outstanding contest evening on Thursday 25 September. There were fine performances from the competitors representing London Athenians, Riverside Communicators, Trojans Speakers and West London Speakers: great inventiveness in the table topics and much laughter generated by the speeches.
There was a fun and supportive atmosphere throughout the proceeding. Instead of table topics "mini interviews" with the competitors proved very successful . Each contestant had an opportunity to let us in on their Toastmaster journey which the audience responded to with great interest.

A big thank you to everyone who helped to make the evening a success: our enthusiastic audience, our judges, our timekeepers, ballot counters and to Gagan Singh VPPR at Athenians for masterminding the photographs. A particular thank you for the expert contest chairing from Marion Sherriffs (West London Speakers) and Al Johnson (Riverside Communictors) and our chief Judge Dorothea Stuart who took home a beautiful bouquet in recognition of her support.
Our Area 29 winners Kedar and Errol will go through to the third round of the contest at Division B on Saturday 11 October in Covent Garden (Freemasons' Hall). Please join us then.
