DELIVERING YOUR FIRST SPEECH: A workshop for beginners in public speaking
If you’re new to Toastmasters or just want to learn the basics of public speaking to deliver your first speech, come along to this practical workshop to learn some powerful fundamentals taught by Toastmasters.
- Do you get nervous when in front of an audience?
- Do you worry you will not know what to say?
- Don’t know where to start in structuring and presenting a speech?
This intensive 1 day workshop will help you get a solid understanding of the fundamentals of writing and delivering a speech. You will learn simple effective tools and techniques that will help knock back those bad habits and master fear.
Within a small, intimate group, this is the perfect environment to help you hone your techniques. Develop your individual style in a personal and dedicated environment catered to your specific needs.
We will be working on:
• Understanding fear and nerves and how to conquer it
• Using body language and eye contact to full effect
• How to write and deliver a speech effectively
