Area 33 - the first President's Distinguished Area 2014-15

TMI logo 150 highIt is my great pleasure as Division L Governor to announce that Area 33 has just become the first Area in District 91 to become President's Distinguished. Area 33 is made up of ACCA Members Breakfast Club, Cass Toastmasters, Connected Speakers London, Experience French, St Paul's Speakers. A new club ICF London Toastmasters chartered in January to join the Area.

I give many congratulations to Brian Skelton, Area 33 Governor, and his assistant Sophie Xu who have supported the club in Area 33 with great dedication.

What is a Presidents Distinguished Area? One in which the clubs are encouraging their members to achieve educational awards, where the clubs are attracting new members and the committee is supporting its members by running the club efficiently.  In addition a new club chartering is another key aspect of achieving this  top accolade in the Distinguished Program. Its also important the the AG completes visits all the clubs, supports and reports!

Experience French is currently the only club with 10/10 points, with 3 others aiming to become President's Distinguished by the end of the year.

Brian and Sophie area a great team! They have complementary skills.  Brian was always the first Area Governor to submit Club Visit Reports and was always on the ball when it came to his organisation of Area 33's affairs.  What has struck me about Brian is his enthusiasm for learning the ropes and getting stuck into new things.  Sophie is well-known and liked in Area 33 so she's been an experienced guide to Brian who was new to the Area when he became AG. 

Congratulations to all the members of Area 33.
