Area 33 will be holding its International Speech and Evaluation Contest finals on Tuesday 22 March 2016 from 18h30 onwards hosted by CASS Toastmasters.

Come and support the best of the City of the London as they compete for the title of Area 33 International Speech champion and Area 33 evaluation champion. With a mix of corporate and community clubs taking part you’re in for a true treat made with Toastmasters from all horizons!

No registration is necessary, please come along to support our contestants!

Celebrating Excellence through Contests

Area 35 embodies the District Mission We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence. At the Area 35 International Speech and Evaluation Contests we will be celebrating the excellence of the members of our clubs across Purley, Croydon and Bromley.

The best will come forward to compete and will be celebrated as they move on to compete at the Division K and possibly the District 91 UK South Contests!!! Come and join us in this celebration through competition on Wednesday 16 March hosted by Speakers of Croydon club at the CVA Resource Centre near West Croydon station (82 London Road, Croydon,CR0 2TB). The doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:15pm start.

HARROVIAN SPEAKERS CLUB is hosting an interactive workshop in "Bringing the best you - Interview Skills That Help You Succeed" delivers by Toastmaster, Coach, Trainer and Speaker RICHARD FALLON.
With this workshop you will know the secrets of:

• What makes successful interview responses, and
• The tricks and strategies that Richard has developed for you to perform successfully in any interview situation, such as a job interview, getting a promotion, or just position yourself as an authority or an expert in your area.

During this exciting, 90-minute, hands-on workshop you will learn:

• to engage your audience and get your message across
• to flex between the credibility of the position you are applying for, and the approachability of the person who will become a new colleague
• to exert influence by putting yourself in your future employer's shoes and answering questions to meet their needs
• to stand out from the crowd

Once you master these core skills you will have the confidence to deliver effective responses, even under the most extreme interview challenges.
